We extend our sympathy to the family of Jim Bill McInteer who passed away yesterday.  Visitation at the Brentwood Hills Church of Christ (5120 Franklin Road, Nashville, Tennessee) will take place today at 2 until 9 pm and again tomorrow from 12 until 2 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm tomorrow.

Horizon Medical Center:  Bob Nicks, (room 156) recovering from double pneumonia and will return to Olive Branch this afternoon;  William Stacey, (room 159)

  • Marie Bagsby, (daughter of Melvin and Christine Brown) who has begun chemotherapy treatments
  • Debbie Cape, (sister of Lisa Wright) who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  She is scheduled to meet with doctors this week.
  • Curtis Petty, for safe travel back from South America on March 11th
  • Jessica Anderson, who is having surgery on Thursday
  • Jane Marrs, (mother of Cindy Garton) as she continues cancer treatments
  • Ruth Morrison, (mother of Richard Wright) who is having back surgery today
  • Carlee Beam, (2-year-old niece of Chad & Ashley Fussell) who has a muscle biopsy scheduled on March 16th
  • Daron Gasaway, (friend of Sheree Carlton) who has an enlarged liver
  • Virginia Richard, (friend of Sheree Carlton) who has cancer
  • Robert Blaylock, (brother of Gwynn Kerns and Paula Hill) who is at Vanderbilt for tests

The next W.O.W. event is scheduled for Friday, March 12th, at 6 pm at The Fire Station Pottery Studio.  This event is hosted by Katie Jones and Karon Woodard.  Ladies are asked to bring finger-foods.

 

Walnut Street’s Marriage Ministry ‘Transform Your Marriage’ is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 12th and 13th in the Chapel.  RSVP to Steve Moore (skmoore63@comcast.net) or call the church office.

 

On March 14th, the C.I.A. will be assembling MAGI boxes for Healing Hands International.  Donations for the boxes are needed.  A collection box is now located in the Gathering Room.   A list of items needed can be found at the Information Booth.

 

Mark your calendar!  The Freed-Hardeman Chorale will be at Walnut Street Friday evening, March 19th.  Make plans to fellowship and enjoy an add-a-dish meal and choral performance.  We will be housing choral members overnight.  Students will be housed in pairs and only need transportation and a place to sleep – meals will be taken care of at the church.  If you are interested in helping, please e-mail (lesa-shawn.wscoc@comcast.net) or call Shawn or Lesa in the church office.

All ladies are invited to a baby shower for Nicki Long Thursday, March 25th, at 6:30 until 8 pm.  Justin and Nicki are expecting a girl.  They are registered at Target and Wal-Mart.

 

All ladies are invited to a bridal shower honoring Michelle Van Dyke on Sunday, March 21st, from 2 until 3:30 pm in the Gathering Room.  Michelle is registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond; Wal-Mart; Hodges; and Half Moon Bay.

 

Ladies, mark your calendar!  Walnut Street’s 2010 Ladies’ Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 27th, at 8:30 am until 12 noon.  Registration will begin at 8 am or you may RSVP to the church office at 446-2909.  Lunch will be provided.  ‘God’s Recipe for Happiness’ will be presented by Dietlinde Spears.

 

The next MOLO (Mothers of Little Ones) event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 17th, at 11 am at the home of Bekah Pass.  This group will enjoy a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration!  Please RSVP to Bekah Pass at 604-8076 or Jamie Brown at 686-3358.  Bring a finger-food.

 

D.O.T.S. (Dining Out Together Sisters) have scheduled their first dinner outing to KOBE Steakhouse Thursday, March 18th.  This group will depart from the church building at 5:30 pm.  Sign-up at the ladies’ table located in the Gathering Room or contact Kim Long or Sherrie Spencer no later than Sunday evening, March 14th.  Reservations must be made in advance.
