To Parents,
We believe that a part of the responsibility of the Lord's Church is to assist parents in the nurture, education and raising of their children in the Lord. The world today continues to be a difficult place to grow-up in with a love, respect and dedication to Christ and His Church. The youth ministry at Walnut Street works with parents to help children with the spiritual, mental, physical and educational challenges facing every child as they move through adolescent and approach adulthood. We will strive to give your child multiple opportunities for spiritual growth and the tools to develop a faith of their own.
Our program begins with the Kindergarten through second grade KFC (Kids for Christ) having approximately four events a year.
The CIA (Christ in Action) encompasses the 3rd through 5th grades and includes approximately ten evens a year.
Beginning in the sixth grade and ending at high school graduation the youth group provides approximately 320 events to participate in each year. This very active group travels on two major trips every year, as well as, two weekend retreats. Weekly Sunday devotionals, game nights, events dinners and many other activates round out the program.
The spirituality of each child is of the upmost importance and a safe encouraging environment is used to discuss and teach these issues.
We believe that relationships are built on time, we will commitment to you and your children to do our best to develop a relationship with your child.
Lastly, we will love your child with the love of the Lord.
Sincerely,
Alan Ragan, Youth Minister
Bob Spencer, Youth Minister
